Skiscionera – Cinema in Verde è il Festival Internazionale di Cortometraggi sull'Ambiente organizzato da Rebelterra, con la direzione artistica di Andrea Mura e la partecipazione di Francesco Trento in qualità di presidente della giuria.

La prima edizione si terrà a Cagliari il 4 e 5 dicembre 2026.

Il festival seleziona cortometraggi provenienti da tutto il mondo che affrontano in modo centrale il tema dell'ambiente: cambiamento climatico, biodiversità, tutela degli ecosistemi, rapporto tra attività umane e natura e le grandi sfide ecologiche del nostro tempo.
Fiction, documentari e animazione si incontrano in una competizione internazionale dedicata alle storie che aiutano a comprendere il presente e a immaginare il futuro.

Skiscionera – Cinema in Verde is the International Environmental Short Film Festival organised by Rebelterra, with Andrea Mura serving as Artistic Director and Francesco Trento as Jury President.

The first edition will take place in Cagliari, Italy, on 4–5 December 2026.

The festival showcases short films from around the world that place environmental issues at the heart of their stories, including climate change, biodiversity, ecosystem conservation, the relationship between people and nature, and the major ecological challenges of our time.

Fiction, documentary and animation come together in an international competition dedicated to stories that help us better understand the present and imagine the future.

Submissions are now open. Read the regulations, complete the submission form, and enter your short film.

SKISCIONERA AWARDS

Il Premio per il Miglior Film rappresenta il massimo riconoscimento del Festival Skiscionera ed è assegnato al cortometraggio che meglio coniuga valore artistico, originalità, qualità della narrazione, qualità tecnica e capacità di affrontare le tematiche ambientali in modo efficace e coinvolgente. Il vincitore sarà selezionato da una giuria indipendente composta da professionisti qualificati, secondo i criteri di valutazione stabiliti dal Regolamento del Festival.

Il vincitore del Premio per il Miglior Film riceverà un premio in denaro di 500 €.

I membri della giuria saranno annunciati prossimamente.

The Best Film Award is the Skiscionera Festival's highest recognition and is presented to the short film that best combines artistic merit, originality, storytelling, technical quality, and the ability to address environmental themes in a powerful and engaging way. The winner will be selected by an independent jury of qualified professionals, in accordance with the evaluation criteria set out in the Festival Regulations.

The winner of the Best Film Award will receive a cash prize of € 500.

The members of the jury will be announced soon.

Il Premio Rebelterra per l'Impatto Ambientale è assegnato al cortometraggio che si distingue per la qualità, l'accuratezza e la rilevanza del suo messaggio ambientale. Particolare attenzione sarà riservata alle opere che portano alla luce temi poco conosciuti, offrono nuove prospettive su questioni complesse o controverse e rendono le sfide ambientali comprensibili a un pubblico più ampio.

Il vincitore sarà selezionato da un Comitato Scientifico composto da soci di Rebelterra con competenze in scienze ambientali, sostenibilità e divulgazione scientifica, secondo i criteri di valutazione stabiliti dal Regolamento del Festival.

Il vincitore del Premio Rebelterra riceverà un premio in denaro di 200 €.

I membri del Comitato Scientifico saranno annunciati prossimamente.

The Rebelterra Award for Environmental Impact recognizes the short film that stands out for the quality, accuracy and relevance of its environmental message. Particular consideration will be given to works that shed light on overlooked issues, offer new perspectives on complex or controversial topics, and make environmental challenges accessible to a wider audience.

The winner will be selected by an Scientific Committee composed of Rebelterra members with expertise in environmental science, sustainability and science communication, in accordance with the evaluation criteria set out in the Festival Regulations.

The winner of the Rebelterra Award will receive a cash prize of € 200.

Il Premio del Pubblico è assegnato al cortometraggio che riceve il maggior numero di voti dal pubblico presente alle proiezioni ufficiali del festival.

Ogni spettatore presente alle proiezioni avrà la possibilità di votare il proprio cortometraggio preferito. Per garantire equità, il sistema di voto potrà tenere conto del numero di opere effettivamente visionate da ciascun partecipante, secondo quanto previsto dal Regolamento del Festival.

Il premio non prevede un riconoscimento in denaro. Il cortometraggio vincitore riceverà la corona d'alloro ufficiale "Premio del Pubblico – Skiscionera", che potrà essere utilizzata in tutti i materiali di comunicazione, promozione e distribuzione dell'opera.

The Audience Award is presented to the short film that receives the highest number of votes from the audience attending the festival's official public screenings.

Every spectator attending the screenings will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film. To ensure fairness, the voting system may take into account the number of films actually viewed by each participant, in accordance with the Festival Regulations.

The award does not include a cash prize. The winning film will receive the official "Audience Award – Skiscionera" laurel, which may be used in all promotional and distribution materials.

Il Premio degli Studenti è assegnato al cortometraggio che riceve il maggior numero di voti dagli studenti coinvolti nelle attività educative promosse da Rebelterra nell'ambito del festival.

Possono votare esclusivamente gli studenti che partecipano alle proiezioni loro dedicate, organizzate nelle sale cinematografiche sedi del festival oppure, qualora previsto dall'organizzazione, direttamente presso gli istituti scolastici aderenti.

Il premio non prevede un riconoscimento in denaro. Il cortometraggio vincitore riceverà la corona d'alloro ufficiale "Premio degli Studenti – Skiscionera", che potrà essere utilizzata in tutti i materiali di comunicazione, promozione e distribuzione dell'opera.

The Students' Award is presented to the short film that receives the highest number of votes from students participating in the educational activities promoted by Rebelterra as part of the festival.

Voting is open exclusively to students attending the dedicated festival screenings, held either at the festival venues or, where provided by the organization, directly at participating schools.

The award does not include a cash prize. The winning film will receive the official "Students' Award – Skiscionera" laurel, which may be used in all promotional and distribution materials.

La Selezione Ufficiale comprende i cortometraggi scelti per partecipare alla prima edizione di Skiscionera – Cinema in Verde.

Selezionate dal Comitato Artistico di Preselezione secondo i criteri previsti dal Regolamento, queste opere costituiscono il programma ufficiale della competizione internazionale e saranno proiettate durante il festival.

Tutti i cortometraggi selezionati hanno il diritto di utilizzare la corona d'alloro ufficiale "Official Selection – Skiscionera" nei propri materiali di comunicazione, promozione e distribuzione.

The Official Selection recognizes the short films chosen to compete in the first edition of Skiscionera – Cinema in Verde.

Selected by the Artistic Pre-selection Committee in accordance with the criteria set out in the Festival Regulations, these films constitute the Official Selection of the international competition and will be screened during the Festival.

All selected films are entitled to use the official "Official Selection – Skiscionera" laurel in their promotional and distribution materials.
